KSI Executive Team
The management team is led by Dimitri Goulandris, Executive Director.
Executive Director and Board Member
Dimitri is a founder of KSI, Knightsbridge School and the founder and Managing Partner of Cycladic Capital LLP, set up in 2002 to focus on making public and private investments in small and medium sized companies with a particular focus on greenfield start‐ups. Previously Dimitri set up and ran the European operations of the private equity firm, Whitney & Company, and spent eight years at Morgan Stanley in the private equity group and investment banking. He currently serves on the Boards of Journey Group plc., Gemini Equipment & Rentals (Private) Limited and MonuRent Limited (Mauritius). Dimitri is also a Director and Advisory Board member of Knightsbridge School Limited. Dimitri has an MBA from the Harvard Business School and a Masters in Electrical and Information Sciences from Cambridge University.
Chief Financial & Operating Officer
Ursula joined KSI in September 2013 from the first Venture Capital-backed school in the UK. Ursula was an integral member of the executive team responsible for the build, set up and management of this highly successful school, achieving outstanding accolades and profitability within its first year of operation. Qualified in 1994, Ursula has worked for a number of global companies in the property, hotel, telecoms and IT sectors with roles based in Sydney, London, Los Angeles and Cape Town. Ursula brings to KSI her experience and strengths in managing start-up operations, controlling investment funds and providing financial and operational leadership for international groups. Ursula is a member of the ASCPA and graduated from the University of Technology, Sydney with honours.
Teaching, Learning & Curriculum Lead and Head of School KSI Morges
Denise joins Knightsbridge Schools International as the Director of KSI Morges, Switzerland. British by origin, Denise completed an English Literature degree before training in secondary education. She has twenty years of experience in international education. Prior to joining KSI Morges, Denise implemented and led the IB MYP programme in an international, bilingual school in Switzerland, moving on to become the Head of Secondary. Denise works extensively with the International Baccalaureate. As an IB Lead Educator for the Africa, Europe, Middle East region, she trains IB teachers to become workshop leaders, site visitors and IB consultants. Denise also attends regional workshop events to support workshop leaders and respond to academic questions. In addition, Denise is a Team Leader for school visits in the region and an IB chair for synchronised visits with the Council of International Schools.
Chief Ethos Officer
Magoo is the founder of Knightsbridge School. Previously he was the Headmaster of Garden House Boys’ School from 2000 – 2006. He was commissioned in to the Coldstream Guards. He also served as Aide de Camp to Lieutenant General the Hon Sir William Rous for two years and Personal Equerry to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II for two years. Magoo is a keen sportsman whose other interests include: children, travel, public speaking/entertaining, writing children’s stories and his family. Magoo was educated at Eton College.
Human Resources Director
Having graduated from Bristol University, Anita started her career in industry, initially in a range of general management roles prior to specialising in HR. Following European HR Directorships in high‐tech and IT companies, Anita established her own consultancy business in 1999. Specialising in translating business strategy into all strands of HR practice, Anita has built on her technology background, providing strategic and operational advice for organisations in education, the third sector and publishing.
Business Development Manager
Oriana has 10 years of experience working in Latin America, Europe, Asia and Africa leading projects at the intersection of entrepreneurship and education in global organisations such as AIESEC, Endeavor and Babson College. In 2012, she also served as Consultant to the Government of Colombia developing the research “Anatomy of the Colombian High Impact Entrepreneur”, aimed to identify the personal characteristics of the fastest-growing Entrepreneurs in the country. Oriana’s expertise focuses in both Program and Policy design to foster sustainable entrepreneurship in emerging markets. She holds an MBA from Babson College and is proficient in Spanish, English and German.
Marika gained her BA (Hons) degree in Banking with Economics and Law at London Metropolitan University and then obtained her postgraduate diploma in Business Administration at Leicester University. She is a qualified overseas teacher with previous experience in the business environment.
